Board of Advisors

The Oklahoma Animal Disease Diagnostic Lab's Board of Advisors is made up of veterinary professionals representing different areas of the profession.


The OADDL Board of Advisors is an independent body chartered to advise and support the Director of OADDL in the continual development and improvement of the laboratory and its services. The role of the Board of Advisors is to provide assistance to the director for strategic planning and financial guidance of the laboratory. Membership on the board may include representatives of the following Oklahoma animal interest groups:

  • Animal Agriculture Extension
  • Beef/Dairy Cattle
  • Companion Animals
  • Food Safety
  • Horses and Other Equine Species
  • Military
  • Poultry
  • Small Ruminants
  • Swine
  • Veterinary pharmaceutical Industry

To fulfill its advisory role, the board maintains an ongoing relationship with Oklahoma State University administration and the Dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine. Strategic objectives of the board include:

  • Provide the director advice on current and future diagnostic needs of the interests they represent.
  • Provide the director advice on pricing and reporting for laboratory services.
  • Periodically review laboratory services for current fulfillment of the laboratory’s mission.
  • Assist the director with development of strategic planning for the laboratory.
  • Inform and promote the laboratory to the commodity groups they represent and seek input from their respective groups.
