Hazardous Submissions

Submissions that arrive at the laboratory in a condition that present an immediate biological, chemical, or physical hazard to laboratory personnel will be subject to an additional processing fee (safety surcharge). Examples of such submissions include, but are not limited to:

 

         · Clotted blood submitted in a syringe

         · Samples of any type submitted in a syringe with a needle attached

         · Fecal material contained within an OB sleeve

         · Containers of formalin that are leaking

         · Fresh organs leaking blood or other bodily fluids into the packaging

For convenience, prepaid USPS labels can be printed and affixed to your package. There is no postage necessary and USPS charges will be applied to your submission upon receipt.
