OADDL is looking to fill two immediate openings.

 

Diagnostic Technician

This position is responsible for assisting with daily processing of diagnostic specimens, dissection of deceased animals submitted for autopsy, maintenance of clean and safe laboratory spaces, laundry, autoclaving and data entry into the laboratory’s software system.  Hands on training will be provided.

We are looking for a dependable, client centric, hardworking individual with attention to detail and ability to operate in a high-throughput environment.

Rabies prophylactic vaccination required and will be provided by OADDL.

 

Required Minimum Qualifications:

High School/GED, four years related experience- serving and interacting with the public and successfully managing daily workload responsibilities. Valid drivers license.

Necropsy/Receiving On-Call Student Worker

This position works primarily on a weekend/holiday rotation with other student workers and occasionally during the week when available/needed. Duties include processing diagnostic specimens, assisting with client submissions, assisting pathologists performing animal autopsies, maintenance of clean and safe laboratory spaces, laundry, autoclaving and data entry into the laboratory’s software system. Hands on training will be provided. Rabies prophylactic vaccination required and is provided by OADDL.

We are looking for a dependable, client centric, hardworking individual with attention to detail and ability to operate in a high-throughput environment. This is a great experience for those wishing to go to veterinary school.
